The UN theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow". The 2022 campaign theme is #BreakTheBias.

How do we celebrate International Women’s Day at Biolite?

At Biolite, we celebrate women and their contributions to beauty and wellness every day. However, this International Women’s Day, we want to honor the achievements of our women-led team and shower them with extra love and appreciation for making Biolite one of the best aesthetic clinics in Dubai. From our CEO to dermatologists and nurses, there are so many talented and hardworking women in our team who need to be thanked endlessly for helping clients feel good in their skin.

The journey of our women-led team at Biolite

It all started when our CEO, Mona Mirza, decided to use her degree to help people with skin issues. She holds a degree in BA(Honours) Accountancy from London University, followed by Masters in Aesthetic Dermatology (USA). She trained in IPL and Laser and completed certification as a Laser Protection Supervisor after working in the aesthetics field extensively and internationally. In 2001, Mona set up Biolite Aesthetic Clinic in the UK. However, on a stopover in Dubai, she spotted a huge gap in the market and decided to move her life and business to Dubai and set up boutique Medi Spa in Dubai – UAE, in December 2007. After years of hard work and patience, Mona, along with her team of experienced experts, managed to grow Biolite into the success it is today. She breaks the stereotypes surrounding womanhood and her passion for her work is truly is an inspiration for all budding women entrepreneurs. Since 2007, our team has grown considerably and we are proud that we have many immensely talented women in our team. On this International Women’s Day, we want to #BreakTheBias and celebrate all these incredible women in our team who make it possible for us to serve our clients to the best of our capacity.
