What Are Body Threads?
Body threads are dissolvable thread-like sutures made of polydioxanone (PDO), a biodegradable synthetic polymer. These tiny threads are inserted beneath the skin in areas with lax tissue through a small entry point, which heals within a couple of days and doesn’t cause any scarring.
The threads attach to the tissue and suspend it as they’re pulled upward. Also known as thread lifting, this procedure stimulates a healing response in the body that causes new collagen to develop, which further tightens and firms the skin.
